Position Title: Community Outreach Coordinator (full time)

About Comet-ME:  Comet-ME is an Israeli-Palestinian NGO providing environmentally and socially  sustainable basic infrastructure and services to off-grid communities. Comet-ME facilitates social and  economic empowerment of some of the poorest and most marginalized communities in the occupied  Palestinian territories through the installation of renewable energy systems, clean water delivery  solutions, and wireless networks, along with provision of reliable maintenance services and capacity  building. Today our services reach 2,000 households in 130 remote communities from the south Hebron  hills to the northern Jordan Valley.

Job description: 

Comet-ME is looking for a community outreach coordinator to support ongoing field operations, legal protection activities, reporting, monitoring and evaluation. The outreach coordinator  will serve as the primary contact person for all issues and tasks related to communication, coordination,  and cooperation with the beneficiary communities. The outreach coordinator will report to Comet ME’s deputy manager and will work alongside the operations manager and resource development  manager.

Comet-ME’s base of operations is in the south Hebron hills. Candidates should be prepared to travel to  the area and to other parts of the West Bank frequently.



  • Support of installation projects: Surveying of potential beneficiary communities of Comet ME’s energy, water, and internet services throughout Area C. Conducting site visits along with  technical leads, establishing partnerships with community representatives, local councils,  governorates and respective governmental bodies, and other NGOs.
  • Supporting reporting, monitoring & evaluation: Attending and documenting monitoring visits and training workshops; producing reports for internal analysis and external reporting.
  • Support on legal cases and advocacy: Gathering information from communities in cases of  incidents involving the Israeli military or settlers.
  • Impact stories: Researching and producing impact stories for Comet-ME’s donor reports, annual  reports, website, newsletters, and social media.
  • Documentation of beneficiary data in Comet-ME’s beneficiary database

Profile and abilities:

  • Commitment to the Comet-ME cause, high motivation
  • Community outreach skills, familiarity with Area C communities
  • Strong organizational skills: self-management, able to work independently in a virtual work  environment, including document-sharing and regular reporting to colleagues and managers,  attention to detail, problem-solving
  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation, data entry is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Native Arabic speaker, excellent Hebrew, and English, both written and spoken
  • Prepared to spend significant time in the field, visiting remote/rural communities throughout the  West Bank
  • Valid driver’s license
